Bath Installation in Eastbourne

Rectangular bath, typically 1700mm x 700mm. Fits most bathrooms. Acrylic or steel. The most common replacement we do - straightforward swap if the new bath matches the old footprint.

Wider at one end to give you shower space. Needs a screen and usually a deck-mounted or wall-mounted mixer. Popular in family bathrooms where you want both a bath and a proper shower.

Sits away from the wall on feet or a plinth. Needs floor-standing or wall-mounted taps with pipework routed through the floor. Heavier than a standard bath - we check the floor can take the weight before fitting.

Triangular bath that fits into a corner. Takes up more floor space than a straight bath but gives you more room to soak. Needs solid support underneath and usually a custom panel.

A full bath weighs 250-350kg with water and a person in it. Older properties may need the floor joists checked or reinforced, especially for cast iron or stone baths.

If you are changing from a bath with taps at one end to taps in the middle, or moving the waste position, we need to reroute the pipework. This adds time but we price it upfront.

Any bath against a wall needs proper waterproofing behind the tiles. We use tanking membrane or aqua board to stop moisture getting into the wall structure.
